Session outline
A short online course to provide awareness of the Incident Management arrangements in South Australia.
Intended audience
This online course provides an outline of what incident management is, and how it is applied in South Australia. The course aims to provide an awareness to any individual, who might work in, or interact with, any incident management role, in incident management.
The course is a starting point for those personnel who may aim to become an incident management practitioner. They would follow this with more detailed training such as Introduction to incident management, and the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS), as well as training for specific incident management functions and roles such as Incident Controller and Planning Officer.
This course is suitable for those wanting to understand incident management and how their organisational role or position might interact during emergencies. These individuals might be council Chief Executives and other executives, members of Zone Emergency Management Teams, or members of other organisations that interact with emergency management organisations.
